We purchased Finno off Blake and Helen Finlayson from Guyra as a weanling. He has a wonderful temperament and enormous ability, winning 1 draft and placing at 2 others from 5 lifetime starts before being retired due to injury. Finno has been a prolific polocrosse sire for us. We have 5 mares in our main string, who are all playing at state level, 4 of these have played nationals. Not to mention the countless others who are representing at the highest level with their owners. Berragoon Woodale Layla played by Ben Menwarring and Berragoon Thea played by Chris Anderson both in the winning NSW senior mens team at the Darwin Nationals 2014.
He is a very versatile sire, with progeny playing polocrosse extremely well, but also challenging (Jason Lee’s Colt), campdrafting (The Ranch Magic Bar), Polo (Kiwi Finno) and showing (Berragoon Venus), just to name a few.
We adore the nature of our Finno progeny, they are so trainable, soft, responsive, and relaxed horses. These attributes are what make them ideal for the demands of top level competition.
